We were commissioned to transform an existing ‘B’ site IOCL petrol pump in New Chandigarh into an iconic facility that served as a convergence node for the region. This included the design of an iconic canopy, double storeyed convenience store, a car wash, landscape design (with seating) alongside a kiosk design for the street food brand floated by the client. The entire facility, along with its tiered landscape, was designed in earthy grey cobblestone, complemented by Kullu Slate cladding and stark white walls. The hero of the design, the triple storeyed canopy, was envisioned as a whiplash frozen in time; but more realistically resolved to withstand the harsh wind loads of the lower Shivaliks.
